Since its foundation in 1972 as a pioneer among specialized trading firms dealing with aerospace and defense, ITOCHU AVIATION CO., LTD., a core operating company of the ITOCHU Aerospace Group, has grown along with the developing aerospace industry of Japan.
In the defense-related business, we have built up and will continue to build strong ties and partnerships with the world's leading aerospace companies through introducing their cutting-edge technologies to Japanese customers. In the commercial sector, we deal with the import and export of aviation- and airport-related equipment and with space related businesses.
Our business guiding principles is the spirit of “Sampo-yoshi”. In Japanese, “yoshi” means “good”, and “sampo” means “three sides”, and these three sides consist of
(1) the seller, (2) the buyer and (3) society.
